About Me

Irma Kveladze has graduated her MSc degree in cartography, Geodesy and Geo-informatics at I. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University of Georgia in 2001. In 2000 - 2001 she began her career in Georgian - German joint study project “Establishment of a scientific working group on livestock induced effects on nature in Georgia”. In 2001- 2009 she was the Co-founder and member of the administrative board of the international environmental organization – “Caucasus Research Centre”. In 2002 - 2007 she starts work as GIS-Assistant at the Caucasian office of World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). At the same time, in 2005 - 2009 she was working as an engineer (GIS specialist) at Caucasian Institute of Mineralogy. In 2008 - 2009 she continued working as GIS-Assistant at WWF. In 2009 she has become a PhD student in the research program STAMP (Spatio-Temporal Analytics, Maps and Processing) on the topic: Space-Time Cube, Design and Usability at University of Twente (UT), Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC). Currently, she is working on traffic network analysis at University of Aalborg, transportation division.
